The cabinet would use sensors to detect if it was opened correctly (the bottom drawer had to be pushed in), so there were two cases.
Case 1: Not opened correctly
This would use the camera to take a picture of whoever was opening the cabinet and then send that picture to an email.
Case 2: Opened correctly
There would be no action from the camera on this part. You were free to lift the shelf and access a keypad which in theory would allow you to use codes to do other things. For the demonstration, one of the keys would turn on an LED.
